Key Portfolio renews FCSA Umbrella Accreditation

We’re proud to confirm that our umbrella company Key Portfolio (KPPES Ltd) has successfully renewed its FCSA Umbrella Accreditation for another year.
FCSA Accreditation is an important part of the independent assurance we provide to our recruitment partners and employees. It means our umbrella employment model has once again been assessed against the FCSA Codes of Compliance and independently reviewed by regulated tax and legal specialists.
Our latest assessment was carried out by E&Y and Pinsent Masons, and our renewed accreditation runs until 30 September 2027.
What does FCSA Accreditation mean?
The FCSA Codes of Compliance are designed to set professional and ethical standards for umbrella employers and other contractor service providers.
Accredited members are independently assessed against those standards each year, with evidence reviewed by qualified external assessors rather than by FCSA itself. FCSA states that the process includes documentary evidence, worker sampling and interviews with key members of the business.
For us, that independent scrutiny is important.
It means our recruitment partners and employees do not simply have to rely on what we say about our compliance. Our processes, documentation and working practices are subject to external review against a recognised industry standard.
What does this mean for recruitment agencies?
Recruitment businesses need confidence that the umbrella providers in their supply chain are operating properly and meeting the standards expected of them.
Our renewed FCSA Umbrella Accreditation provides an additional level of independent assurance that Key Portfolio continues to meet the FCSA’s requirements for umbrella employment.
FCSA also maintains a public directory of Accredited Members, allowing recruitment agencies, end hirers and workers to check a provider’s current accreditation status and the services it is accredited to provide. Key Portfolio is listed as an Umbrella Accredited Member.
What does this mean for Key Portfolio employees?
From an employee’s perspective, nothing changes in the way you are employed or paid.
The value of the accreditation is the independent scrutiny behind the scenes.
It provides further reassurance that our umbrella employment processes are being reviewed against established industry standards and that we continue to maintain the policies, procedures and controls expected of an FCSA Accredited Member.
How does this fit with SafeRec Certification?
Our renewed FCSA Accreditation sits alongside our recent SafeRec Certification.
The two provide different forms of independent assurance.
FCSA assesses our wider umbrella employment operation against its Codes of Compliance, while SafeRec adds ongoing independent scrutiny of payroll activity and reporting.
Together, they provide recruitment agencies and employees with greater transparency over how Key Portfolio operates and how payroll is processed.
Why does continued accreditation matter?
Compliance is not something that should be assessed once and then forgotten.
FCSA requires Accredited Members to undergo compliance checks annually in order to maintain their status.
For Key Portfolio, renewing our accreditation is therefore less about displaying another badge and more about demonstrating that our processes continue to withstand independent scrutiny year after year.
We have been providing umbrella payroll and employment services since 2008, and maintaining strong compliance standards remains central to how we work with recruitment agencies and the contractors they place with us.
Our renewed FCSA Umbrella Accreditation, together with SafeRec Certification, gives our recruitment partners and employees another independent reason to have confidence in the way we operate.
